I’m not used to go to the cinema because I’m pessimist about the movies that are in the Lusomundo’s cinemas, but I run into the cinema when I heard about Oliver Stone with Benicio Del Toro, John Travolta and Salma Hayek. The beginning of the movie was promising something like “Snatch.” or a bit of “RocknRolla”, with all that mafia scenario, trickery and a lot of characters in the mix. Then, at the end, starts the ruine, the story started to don’t make sense and using the regular line, with the common business scenes and betrayals, taking it to a totally regular end, without any master touch. Summarizing, I think that Oliver Stone used his name as a “cane” to grab a personal good idea and carry on with it without thinking that he had not a good end to give it. It’s a shame because it just depreciate his work.

Eu que não vou muito ao cinema porque sou pessimista em relação aos filmes que passam nos cinemas Lusomundo, fui logo a correr quando ouvi falar em Oliver Stone juntamente com Benicio Del Toro, John Travolta e Salma Hayek. O início do filme estava a prometer algo do género de “Snatch.” ou um pouco de “RocknRolla”, com todo aquele enredo de máfia, maroscas e muitas personagens à mistura. Depois para o final começou o descalabro, uma história que começou a embrulhar e a contar “mais do mesmo”, com as habituais cenas de negociações e traições, levam a um final totalmente normal, sem qualquer toque de mestre. Resumindo, penso que Oliver Stone usou o seu nome como bengala para puder pegar numa boa ideia que teve e levá-la em frente sem pensar que não tinha um bom final para lhe dar. É pena porque só se desvaloriza.
